My new role at Text 100: global director, campaign innovation

Our CEO, Aedhmar Hynes, recently announced my promotion to our global board as director of campaign innovation, a newly created role. I have been thrilled at the positive responses I have already received from Texties, past Texties, industry colleagues and clients around the world.  It certainly sounds like we have got it right with this new role from what so many people have said to me… that the global market we operate in is moving and changing so fast, and the role of PR is so increasingly important, Text 100 investing in this role at this time is a very smart move. 

There are many exciting ways Text 100 can help to influence and impact this changing world in partnership with its clients, and their products and innovations.  And we are very focused on the critical role we play in generating new ideas and being progressive in how we think and how we advise our clients. In my new role I want to support our people in pushing the boundaries even more and driving outside of their comfort zones to consistently deliver incredibly impactful, multi-faceted but integrated campaigns that get talked about for all the right reasons. 

I honestly don’t think there has ever been a more exciting time to be working in communications. But, we are all constantly being challenged to be the very best we can be.  And I love this kind of challenge because if you confront it head on, you soon realise how much more you are capable of doing, thinking and achieving.  For me, campaign innovation means getting a mix of things right: creativity, strategy, tight integration with the client’s business, brand and other marketing disciplines, and last but not least, designing a campaign that is incredibly practical and authentic, and thereby powerful, especially across geographies.

I am incredibly passionate about my new role and what Text 100 can achieve in the next few years and beyond with its global reach.  My goal is to enthuse Texties and clients around the world to think differently and try new approaches.  We have some of the most talented people in the business at Text 100.  We innovate through our people and ultimately want to excite every client we work with and all of their customers.

    Congratulations, Sarah!

    As a columnist and blogger, I receive lots of PR communications during the day and most are not a good fit for me — that's a big frustration. In contrast, Text 100 releases are always welcome, because they are focused precisely on my community of interest. Your clients benefit, and I personally benefit.

    Good luck with the new role, and I agree with your assessment — investing in this role at this time is a very smart move.
